Being a rather "laid-back" sort of individual, "strolling" is my preferred pace through life. I definitely believe in stopping to smell the roses. August, however, has most certainly been an exception! No strolling through August. Instead, it has been a mad dash.
Our youngest daughter, Becca, is due to give birth to her first child (our second grandchild) at any moment now. Her husband, Mike, is on deployment, and I am in San Diego to be as much support to Becca as possible. http://osbornes2007.blogspot.com
On Aug.1, I left Costa Rica for Tampa where I paused for 3 days to visit with daughter #3, Lydia, and her husband, Eric. I was able to be there for Lydia's 24th birthday. http://thepangburns.blogspot.com
On Aug. 5, I flew to Kentucky to visit my mother who is 76. We talked, shopped, walked, and enjoyed each others company for nearly 2 weeks. I helped her become more familiar with the internet. We visited my grand aunts and uncles, and watched hummingbirds and squirrels for hours. It was wonderful to be able to spend time with her.
On Aug. 18, I flew to San Diego where I will be until Oct. 8, when I go back to Costa Rica. I have been learning my way around San Diego and helping Becca with final preparations before the baby arrives.
Our oldest daughter, Yeni, http://exploringthebeautyoflife.blogspot.com , and our youngest child and only son, Eli, are also here in San Diego. Both are taking classes at Grossmont College. Our second daughter, Eden, and our granddaughter, Lyvi, were able to spend some time here on their way to Texas where Eden's husband, Steve, is presently stationed. http://thekhajekhronicles.blogspot.com
I have been truly blessed to be able to see all my children during this month of August. A real miracle!
I hope to get back to blogging regularly now that things are slowing down somewhat as we wait for Baby Kaiden's arrival.
Blessings to all!
